Please join us for a special Shabbat service – TE’s own David Sasso will lead the music with selections from his recent album, Sasson v’Simcha.
Sasson v’Simcha (Joy and Delight) is a collection of bluegrass-inspired settings of the traditional Shabbat evening liturgy. The service was premiered in 2023 at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the retirement of David’s father, Rabbi Dennis Sasso.
David is excited to share this music with his Connecticut synagogue home. He will be joined by several Boston bluegrass musicians with whom he recorded the music last spring. The music can be found on streaming services, studio videos on YouTube, or physical copies ordered on Bandcamp.
